The United States men’s national football team represents (USMNT).

The United States participated in the 1934 and 1950 World Cups, later winning 1-0 against England. United States qualified for the 1994 World Cup, where they lost to Brazil in the Round of 16. They have qualified for five more World Cups in a row since 1994 (for a total of seven live performances, one feat shared with only seven other countries), becoming one of the tournament’s regular rivals and often knockout stages.

In the 2009 Confederations Cup, they eliminated top-ranked Spain in the semi-finals before losing to Brazil in the final. The only team to reach the final of a major intercontinental tournament.

CONCACAF

The United States also participates in continental tournaments, including the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the Copa America. The US has won seven Gold Cups and the opening edition of the CONCACAF Nations League. And finished fourth in two Copa America, including the 1995 edition and the 2016 edition. Early History

The first American football game is considered to have been play on November 6, 1869. Between two college teams, Rutgers and Princeton. Many years before that, in 1862, Oneida Football Club was form as the oldest famous football club in the United States. United States National Football team

The United States men’s national football team, Sam’s Army, and The American Outlaws have been the two main supporting groups. Sam’s army began in the United States shortly after the 1994 World Cup and remained active until 2014. Members of Sam’s army wore red for the match and sang or sang throughout the match. They often brought American flags and other banners into the game.

American Outlaws began in 2007 in Lincoln, Nebraska as a group of local supporters. Home Stadium

The United States of America’s team has played its home matches in 29 states and 116 venues in the District of Columbia. The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in the national capital, Washington DC, has hosted 24 matches, more than any other stadium. The state of California has hosted 114 matches, the most in any state, and the Los Angeles metropolitan area has hosted 77 matches in and around Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum hosted 20 matches from 1965 to 2000 but lost use due to its age. The 92,000-seat Rose Bowl in Pasadena has hosted 17 national team matches.
