Yashasvi Jaiswal Double Century Against England | India vs England 3d Test (2024)

Yashasvi Jaiswal Double Century

The left-handed opener is only behind Australian great Don Bradman and India’s Vinod Kambli after he produced his first double-century against England earlier in the second Test in Visakhapatnam.

-During his team’s third Test match against England at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Sunday, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal made history by being the third-youngest batter to score two double hundreds.

In this elite list, the left-handed opener, who earlier in the second Test in Visakhapatnam struck his first double-century against England, is only surpassed by Vinod Kambli of India and Australian great Don Bradman.

Jaiswal reached the historic number with a single off of Joe Root’s bowling. Along with that, he joined Kambi and Virat Kohli as the only other Indians to score two hundred and fifty in consecutive Test matches.

Against England, the 22-year-old was at his most vicious, blasting a record-tying 12 sixes in the innings.

Twenty-two days after making history against England at the Wankhede Stadium by surpassing 200 runs in a match against Zimbabwe in Delhi in 1993, Kambli became the youngest player to hit two double hundreds.
