A right-handed top-order batsman, he has also played domestic cricket for Central Punjab and Balochistan in Pakistan before joining the PSL’s Lahore Qalandars.

Abdullah Shafique life and family
In the nearby town of Sialkot, Punjab, on November 20, 1999, Shafique was born into a Gujjar family of Punjabis. Shafiq Ahmed, his father, relocated to Dubai in 1991 and has lived there ever since. He played cricket professionally before turning to coaching. Arshad Ali, his uncle, represented the United Arab Emirates in cricket internationally.

Domestic career

Shafique was selected by Multan Sultans in the 2018 Pakistan Super League players draft in November 2017, but he did not participate in the league.
He made his Central Punjab first-class debut in the 2019–20 Quaid-e–Azam Trophy in December 2019, amassing 133 runs.
He scored 102 runs without giving up as he made his Twenty20 debut for Central Punjab in the 2020–21 National T20 Cup in September 2020.In
Thus, on his first-class and T20 debut, he became the first batsman from Pakistan to achieve a century.
Shafique was included in the Lahore Qalandar team’s December 2021 roster for the 2022 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
International career

After his National T20 Cup achievements, he was included in a 22-person “probables” team for Pakistan’s home series against Zimbabwe in October 2020.In
He was included in the 15-man Pakistani team for the third One Day International (ODI) match against Zimbabwe in November 2020, however he did not participate. On November 10, 2020, he played his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match for Pakistan against Zimbabwe. He was included in Pakistan’s 35-man team that same month for their tour of New Zealand.
He was included in Pakistan’s Test team for their series against South Africa in January 2021.
He was included in Pakistan’s Test squad for their series against Zimbabwe and One Day International (ODI) team for their series against South Africa in March 2021.
Shafique was included in Pakistan’s ODI team once more in June 2021, this time for the series against England. In addition, he was included in Pakistan’s Test team for the West Indies series.
He was included in Pakistan’s ODI team for their series against New Zealand in September 2021. He was included in the Pakistan Shaheens squad for their trip of Sri Lanka the following Month.
He was included in Pakistan’s Test team for their series against Bangladesh in November 2021. On November 26, 2021, he played his first Test match for Pakistan against Bangladesh.
